Starting the morning off with God is the key to strength and success in your day. Good morning! Today is Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Please join me in praying the morning offering prayer and prayers for our Holy Father. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Prayers for the Holy Father Almighty and everlasting God, have mercy upon thy servant, Pope Leo XIV, our Supreme Pontiff, and direct him, according to thy lovingkindness, in the way of eternal salvation, that of thy gift he may ever desire that which is pleasing unto thee, and may accomplish it with all his might. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Quote from Saint John of the Cross. He who seeks not the cross of Christ, seeks not the glory of Christ. Meditation of the Day, an excerpt from The Spiritual Life, Credidimus Caritati. Words and writings of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, arranged and presented by Rev. Fr. Patrick Troedec. Pages 85-86. Our Lord is the center of human history, and it cannot be otherwise. This event is so incredible, so tremendous, so important in the history of humanity, that it has to be like the magnetic pole attracting all souls, those created before his coming and those who would appear after his coming. All of them must turn toward our Lord, toward God come among us, to offer himself on the cross. So the cross of our Lord literally dominates the history of the world. The history of the world and the history of all creation revolve around our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord is truly the summit, the center, and the heart of all creation. So we can't talk about history, for example, and disregard the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ in the world, disregard all the influence of the Holy Church, His mystical spouse, His mystical body, of which we are members by baptism. you see how many consequences there are to faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. It is clear that this God-man is a great mystery, but we absolutely have to meditate on it, have to know the reality and the truth of it, because it is our faith, it is our entire life, and it is the life of the whole world. Nothing happens in the world except in view of our Lord Jesus Christ, for him or against him, with him or without him. And the key to solving all problems is our Lord. There is no problem here below to which our Lord is indifferent. Men may certainly try to carry on without Him. He is everywhere, in everything, since He created everything. He therefore holds everything in His hands. Everything belongs to Him, and nothing is outside of Him. Men try to escape Him. They do not escape Him. They cannot escape Him. It is impossible, because everything is His. Concretely, we cannot understand anything of the history of humanity without our Lord Jesus Christ, because He is at the center of history. Absolutely everything was made through Him and for Him. And the only happiness of men is to unite themselves to our Lord Jesus Christ, that is to say, to live His life. to live the life of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, since He is God. He gives us the means to do so. That is the reason He came. So then, how can we imagine that man could be indifferent to the presence of the Word of God in our midst? It is not possible. God willed to come down among us. Who then can say, I personally don't care. I live my life. I don't need our Lord to be able to make a living. It's unthinkable. Scripture verse of the day. But now, thus says the Lord, He who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel, do not fear, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name, you are mine. Isaiah chapter 43 verse 1 Saint of the Day The Saint of the Day for August 12th is Saint Jane Francis de Chantal. Saint Jane Francis de Chantal lived between 1572 and 1641. She was born in Dijon, France. She was the daughter of the President of Parliament and lived up to her noble status as a refined, cheerful, and beautiful woman. At the age of 21, she married a baron, and together they had six children. She was strong in her faith, having daily Mass set in her castle, giving alms to the poor, and skillfully managing her household. After seven years of marriage, her husband was killed in an accident. To protect the estate for her children, she was obliged to live with her ill-tempered father-in-law for seven years. When she was 32, she met St. Francis de Sales, whom she had previously seen in a vision after praying for a spiritual director. To her private vow of chastity, she added another of obedience to his direction, while continuing to provide for her children. At the age of 45, after meeting her family obligations, She and St. Francis founded a religious institute for women, the Congregation of the Visitation, which was to exemplify the virtues of the Virgin Mary at the Visitation. The Visitation sisters accepted women who were rejected from other religious orders due to age or illness and were notable for their active charitable works. Aristocrats and the nobility flocked to her reception room to seek her counsel. St. Jane Frances de Chantal underwent great trials and watched many of her close family and friends die. She also traveled extensively to found her new visitation houses, leaving 86 at the time of her death and 164 at the time of her canonization. St. Jane Frances de Chantal prayed for us. Readings for Holy Mass for Tuesday of the 19th week in Ordinary Time. A reading from the book of Deuteronomy, chapter 31, verses 1 through 8. When Moses had finished speaking to all Israel, he said to them, I am now 120 years old and am no longer able to move about freely. Besides, the Lord has told me that I shall not cross this Jordan. It is the Lord your God who will cross before you. He will destroy these nations before you, that you may supplant them. It is Joshua who will cross before you, as the Lord promised. The Lord will deal with them just as he dealt with Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, whom he destroyed, and with their country. When, therefore, the Lord delivers them up to you, you must deal with them exactly as I have ordered you. Be brave and steadfast. Have no fear or dread of them. for it is the Lord your God who marches with you. He will never fail you or forsake you. Then Moses summoned Joshua, and in the presence of all Israel said to him, Be brave and steadfast, for you must bring this people into the land which the Lord swore to their fathers he would give them. You must put them in possession of their heritage. It is the Lord who marches before you. He will be with you and will never fail you or forsake you. So do not fear or be dismayed. The Word of the Lord Responsorial Psalm, Deuteronomy chapter 32 The portion of the Lord is his people. For I will sing the Lord's renown, O proclaim the greatness of our God. The rock, how faultless are his deeds, how right all his ways. The portion of the Lord is his people. Think back on the days of old. Reflect on the years of age upon age. Ask your father and he will inform you. Ask your elders and they will tell you. The portion of the Lord is his people. When the Most High assigned the nations their heritage, when he parceled out the descendants of Adam, he set up the boundaries of the peoples after the number of the sons of Israel. The portion of the Lord is his people. While the Lord's own portion was Jacob, his hereditary share was Israel. The Lord alone was their leader, no strange god was with him. The portion of the Lord is his people. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew, chapter 18, verses 1-5, 10, and 12-14. The disciples approached Jesus and said, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said, The Gospel of the Lord. Prayer of Spiritual Communion In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there, and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen. Prayer to Saint Joseph. O glorious Saint Joseph, chosen by God to be the guardian of the Holy Family, whose protection is so great, so strong, in union with the Blessed Virgin Mary and our Savior Jesus Christ, send down from heaven a blessing from God to protect us from any harm, strengthen us in body, soul, and spirit. We ask this through thy powerful intercession. Holy Family, pray for us. Amen. Guardian Angel Prayer O angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen. Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits, who prowl throughout the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. The Three Hail Marys Devotion The first Hail Mary, in honor of God the Father. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. The second Hail Mary, in honor of God the Son. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. The third Hail Mary, in honor of God the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. O my mother, preserve my soul from mortal sin during this day. Amen. Memorare to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. Oh my God, I firmly believe that you are one God in three divine persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that your divine Son became man, died for our sins, and that he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because you have revealed them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived. In this faith I intend to live and die. Amen. Act of Hope Oh my God, relying on your almighty power, infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon for my sins, the help of your grace, and the life everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen. Act of Love Oh my God, I love you above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because you are all good and worthy of all love. Prayer for the Poor Souls in Purgatory O gentle heart of Jesus, ever present in the blessed sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in purgatory, have mercy on them. Be not severe in thy judgment, but let some drops of thy precious blood fall upon the devouring flames. Merciful Savior, send thy angels to conduct them to a place of refreshment, light, and peace. Amen. Active Resignation to the Divine Will O Lord my God, from this moment do I accept from thy hands, with burning love and sincere contrition, with a calm and willing disposition, whatsoever death thou shalt choose to send me, with its pains and griefs. Amen. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Starting the morning off with God is the key to strength and success in your day.
