SPEAKER_00:

Starting the morning off with God is the key to strength and success in your day. Good morning. Today is Friday, November 14th, 2025. Please join me in praying the morning offering prayer and prayers for our Holy Father. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, for all the intentions of your sacred heart, in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the holy intentions of the Holy Father this month, amen. Prayers for the Holy Father Almighty and everlasting God, have mercy upon thy servant, Pope Leo XV, our Supreme Pontiff, and direct him according to thy loving kindness in the way of eternal salvation, that of thy gift he may ever desire that which is pleasing unto thee, and may accomplish it with all his might, through Christ our Lord, amen. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen. Quote from Saint Augustine You never go away from us, yet we have difficulty in returning to you. Come, Lord, stir us up and call us back, kindle and seize us. Be our fire and our sweetness. Let us love, let us run. Meditation of the day, an excerpt from Imitation of Mary in four books by Alexander de Rouville, pages two hundred and eighty six and two hundred and eighty seven. Mary is the daughter eternally loved by the Father, the mother of the Son, and the spouse of the Holy Spirit. Understand the meaning of these words, and you will have some idea of her power. As the spotless daughter of the Heavenly Father, she is more perfect than all other creatures taken together. Her power over the heart of her divine Father is unlimited. He gives her now in heaven power over all the graces with which he enriches our world. As true mother of the Son in his manhood, will he not hear her? By her prayers she can do all that the Son Himself does. That is how the holy fathers speak of her. To doubt that she has enough power with God to obtain the graces we need is to doubt that the Son honors his mother. Solomon said to Bathsheba, Ask it, my mother, for I will not refuse you. When Mary prays for us, she receives the same answer, for she has a greater claim on it than Bathsheba had. When we pray for something through the intercession of the saints, their love for the Lord and our confidence in them persuade him to be favorable to us. But when we pray through the intercession of Mary, it is her high position and her dignity as God's mother that speak in our favor. Recall that God Himself chose to be subject to her on earth. Will he have less regard for her now that she reigns with him in heaven? He has entrusted to her, as it were, the general disposition of all his blessings, and it pleases him to give us a share of them through her. Finally, if a tenderly loved wife can obtain everything she wants from her husband, Mary, who is spouse of the Holy Spirit, can petition her divine spouse on our behalf and obtain even the greatest graces. God has appointed her queen of heaven and earth, and has given her a power suitable to her rank. Of what value would the title of queen be to her if she could not help those in need and make them happy? When the saints petition God, he sometimes answers them with the most striking miracles. Will he be more reluctant to answer the prayers of her who is the queen of all saints? Scripture verse of the day and this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us, and if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him. Saint of the Day The Saint of the Day for November 14th is Saint John Lichi. Saint John Liche lived between fourteen hundred and fifteen eleven. He was born to a poor peasant farmer near Palermo, Sicily. His mother died in childbirth, and his father was forced to leave his infant alone at home while he worked in the fields. One day a neighbor woman heard the baby's cries and in compassion brought the child into her home to care for him. When she laid the baby on the bed next to her paralyzed husband, he was miraculously cured of his disease. Mr. Leachie was unhappy with the woman's meddling and brought his son back into his home. However, when he did so, his neighbor's paralysis returned. Mr. Lichee took this as a sign that God wanted the couple to help him care for his son. This was the first of many miracles John Leachie would perform throughout his life. He joined the Dominican Order in 1415 and was a friar for ninety-six years, the longest period known for any religious to wear the habit. His miracles include the multiplication of building materials used for a convent he founded, miraculously feeding a poor widow and her six children, raising a dead boy to life, and curing three people whose heads had been crushed in accidents. Consequently, he has been designated the patron saint of head injuries. He is the longest living saint in the Catholic Church, dying at the age of one hundred and eleven. Saint John Leachie, pray for us. Readings for Holy Mass for Friday of the thirty second week in ordinary time A reading from the Book of Wisdom, chapter thirteen verses one through nine. All men were by nature foolish who were in ignorance of God, and who from the good things seen did not succeed in knowing him who is, and from studying the works did not discern the artisan, but either fire or wind or the swift air, or the circuit of the stars, or the mighty water, or the luminaries of heaven, the governors of the world, they considered gods. Now if out of joy in their beauty they thought them gods, let them know how far more excellent is the Lord than these, for the original source of beauty fashioned them, or if they were struck by their might and energy, let them from these things realize how much more powerful is he who made them. For from the greatness and the beauty of created things their original author by analogy is seen. But yet for these the blame is less, for they indeed have gone astray, perhaps, though they seek God and wish to find him, for they search busily among his works, but are distracted by what they see because the things seen are fair. But again, not even these are pardonable, for if they so far succeeded in knowledge that they could speculate about the world, how did they not more quickly find its Lord? The Word of the Lord Responsorial Psalm Psalm nineteen The Heavens proclaim the glory of God The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. Day pours out the word to day and night to night imparts knowledge. The heavens proclaim the glory of God not a word nor a discourse whose voice is not heard, through all the earth their voice resounds, and to the ends of the world their message. The heavens proclaim the glory of God A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke chapter seventeen verses twenty six through thirty seven. Jesus said to his disciples, As it was in the day of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man. They were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage up to the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Similarly as it was in the days of Lot, they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building. On the day when Lot left Sodom, fire and brimstone rained from the sky to destroy them all. So it will be on the day the Son of Man is revealed. On that day someone who is on the housetop and whose belongings are in the house must not go down to get them, and likewise one in the field must not return to what was left behind. Remember the wife of Lot. Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses it will save it. I tell you, on that night there will be two people in one bed, one will be taken, the other left, and there will be two women grinding meal together, one will be taken, the other left. They said to him in reply, Where, Lord, he said to them, Where the body is, there also the vultures will gather. The Gospel of the Lord Prayer of Spiritual Communion In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there, and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen. Morning Glory Consecration Prayer Mary, my mother, I give myself totally to you as your possession and property. Please make of me, of all that I am and have, whatever most pleases you. Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for bringing the greatest possible glory to God. Amen. Prayer to Saint Joseph. O glorious Saint Joseph, chosen by God to be the guardian of the Holy Family, whose protection is so great, so strong, in union with the Blessed Virgin Mary and our Savior Jesus Christ, send down from heaven a blessing from God to protect us from any harm, strengthen us in body, soul, and spirit. We ask this through thy powerful intercession. Holy Family, pray for us, amen. Guardian Angel Prayer O angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide, amen. Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel. Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits, who prowl throughout the world, seeking the ruin of souls, amen. The three Hail Mary's Devotion The first Hail Mary, in honor of God the Father. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. The second Hail Mary in honor of God the Son. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. The third Hail Mary, in honor of God, the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. O my mother, preserve my soul from mortal sin during this day. Amen. Memori to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins, my mother, to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O mother of the Word incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. Act of Faith. O my God, I firmly believe that you are one God in three divine persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that your divine Son became man, died for our sins, and that he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because you have revealed them who can neither deceive nor be deceived. In this faith I intend to live and die. Amen. Act of hope. O my God, relying on your almighty power, infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon for my sins, the help of your grace, and the life everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen. Act of love. O my God, I love you above all things with my whole heart and soul, because you are all good and worthy of all love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of you. I forgive all who have injured me and ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen. Prayer for the poor souls in purgatory. O gentle heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in purgatory, have mercy on them. Be not severe in thy judgment, but let some drops of thy precious blood fall upon the devouring flames. Merciful Savior, send thy angels to conduct them to a place of refreshment, light, and peace. Amen. Act of resignation to the divine will. O Lord my God, from this moment do I accept from thy hands with burning love and sincere contrition, with a calm and willing disposition, whatsoever death thou shalt choose to send me with its pains and griefs. Amen. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. Starting the morning off with God is the key to strength and success in your day.
